A Biz Moms™ story and interview project

InvisibleMoms™

Making the invisible visible.

A documentary project about the parts of motherhood the world rarely sees — and the women still building careers, businesses, relationships and lives while carrying them.

Why this project exists

Motherhood transforms a woman’s life in ways that are profound — and often unseen.

Behind the visible milestones are invisible labour, invisible expectations and constant emotional and physical change. Many women do not immediately recognize the invisibility they begin to experience when they become mothers. It can be tender, powerful, vulnerable — and deeply lonely.

For mothers continuing to build careers and businesses, that pressure is intensified by fragmented time, limited childcare, insufficient community support and workplaces that do not always understand the reality she is carrying.

Invisible Moms™ creates space for honest stories — so what has been carried quietly can finally be seen, named and understood.

From community to conversation

Born from listening.

The project grows from the Biz Moms™ community, 33 in-depth research interviews, ongoing meetings and hundreds of conversations with mothers navigating work, business, ambition and family life.

Our long-term vision is to create an Invisible Moms™ documentary film about the realities of motherhood that too often remain unseen. The filmed interview series produced with U Multicultural is the first step — gathering the voices, experiences and human stories that will shape the documentary.

These stories reveal not a lack of talent or ambition, but the weight of invisible responsibilities — and the urgent need for a deeper public conversation about motherhood in the modern world.

The invisible dimensions of motherhood are also explored in Margarita Serova’s TEDx talk, which reflects on what can stand between women and visibility during one of the most vulnerable and transformative chapters of life.

Founding production partner

In partnership with U Multicultural.

The first stage of Invisible Moms™ is a filmed interview series created in partnership with U Multicultural — and the foundation for our future documentary film. We are deeply grateful for their belief in the project and for providing the professional studio, technical environment and production support that make these conversations possible.

This partnership gives intimate stories the care, quality and space they deserve.
